Book Announcement: Try Not To Laugh (How to Revise, Memorise and Survive Exams)

My third book, ‘Try Not To Laugh’ is now out both as paperback and in kindle version.

Eight years in the making, the method(s) I detail within are the result of nearly 30 years of using in education (classroom and private) with a long and proven track record of significantly improving grades for students of all ages.

My students typically range from 9-year-olds to 18-year-olds but I also use these methods with adult students too. Indeed, I use the TNTL system every single day of my life for myself.

The student guide is deliberately fun, easy to read, broken into manageable chunks and packed with useful information which not only includes the memory system itself but gives advice on revision technique, environment, diet and how to work with fellow students to increase the effectiveness of your study time.

As extras, I give an introduction on how to learn languages (especially when dealing with scripts which seem unfathomable to those of us used to Latin scripts) and how to memorise names and faces. I also have a few impressive ‘magic tricks’ in the appendix to use for fun to test some of the harder aspects of the system – such as memorising Pi to 20 decimal places within seconds, or memorising a shuffled pack of cards.

The kindle version comes with colour illustrations. The paperback version uses comfortable print which is easy to read. Both are ideal for students of all ages taking exams soon. I’ve taught these techniques for a long time and I’m confident that anyone using them correctly will significantly improve their ability to remember facts, gain confidence in exams and generally find that memorising information becomes fast and easy to do.

If you buy TNTL, please leave reviews on Amazon and Goodreads!
